Contacts

Import Existing Contacts (Optional)

Go to Contacts in the sidebar. Click "Import" to upload a CSV file with your existing leads.

Use Tags to Segment Contacts

Tags let you categorise contacts (e.g., new-lead, customer, vip). Navigate to Settings → Tags to create them.

Create Custom Fields

Need to track data GHL doesn't have by default? Go to Settings → Custom Fields to add fields like "Budget Range" or "Lead Source".

Pipelines

A Pipeline is a visual representation of your sales process. Leads move from left to right through stages as they progress. Click each stage below to learn more:

Fresh leads that just came in via form, call, or manual entry

Create Your Pipeline

Navigate to Settings → Pipelines and click "Create Pipeline". Name it (e.g., "Main Sales Pipeline") and add the stages shown above.
Keep it simple. Start with 5–6 stages. You can always add more later. Overcomplicating your pipeline on day one leads to confusion and abandoned opportunities.

A funnel is a simple, focused website designed to capture leads. We'll build a classic two-step funnel: a Landing Page and a Thank You Page.

Navigate to Sites → Funnels

In the sidebar, click Sites, then Funnels. Click "Create New Funnel".

Choose a Template or Start Blank

GHL offers pre-built templates. Pick one close to your use case and customise it, or start from scratch.

Build Your Two Pages

Click into each page below to see what to include:

The Landing Page

This is your lead capture page. It has one job: get the visitor to fill out your form. Keep it simple and focused.

Compelling headline that speaks to their pain point
Brief description of your offer (2–3 sentences max)
Simple form: Name, Email, Phone — that's it
Strong CTA button (e.g., "Get Your Free Quote")

Connect Your Domain

In the funnel settings, click "Custom Domain" and select the domain you connected in Module 2. Your funnel will now be live at yourdomain.com/your-funnel.
Don't overthink design. Your first funnel doesn't need to be perfect. A simple page with a clear headline and a form will outperform a beautiful page with a confusing message. Launch first, optimise later.
