Workflows are the automation engine of GoHighLevel. Every workflow consists of two parts:

Trigger

What starts the automation.
e.g., "Form Submitted"

Actions

What the system does next.
e.g., Send Email, Add Tag

Think of it like a recipe: The Trigger is the event that starts cooking, and the Actions are the steps the system follows automatically. Once you publish a workflow, it runs 24/7 without you.

Let's build a real workflow step by step. Navigate to Automation → Workflows and click "Create Workflow", then select "Start from Scratch".

Crucial Final Step: Click "Save" and then "Publish" the workflow. An unpublished workflow will not run. Many beginners forget this and wonder why nothing happens!
Start simple, add complexity later. This 5-action workflow handles 80% of what you need. Don't add delays, conditions, or branching logic until this basic version is working perfectly.
